Services & Policies

The Groomery On Glebe is a full service dog and cat grooming salon and spa. We offer a complete and customized range of services that will leave your furry loved one clean, looking great and feeling their best.

Our rates offer a great value for any budget and are based primarily on the breed, size of your pet and the condition of their coat. Other factors we consider are age, temperament, the style of cut and the time required to do our best for you and your pet.

You will always know what your total cost will be after a consultation when you drop off your pet.

New Client Information

• Our establishment does not allow for the servicing of aggressive pets.

• We are not able to accept any customers without an appointment.

• First time customers are required to provide credit card info to schedule your first appointment.

• Please bring a copy of your pet’s proof of rabies vaccination on your first visit.

• New customer: If NO SHOW or Late, or cancellation less than 24 hours may result in a fee of $50.

• For Everyone’s Safety Your pet will be safe at our shop as all animals are kept in clean, dry and comfortable kennels before and after bathing and grooming.

• Please allow us 2-3 hours to do our best work. Larger animals usually take longer.

• All dogs must be picked up within 30 minutes after we contact you that your dog is ready. If you are unable to pick up your dog within 30 minutes, we must charge a fee $1 per minute to cover the special handling of your dog.

SALON POLICY FOR ALL CLIENTs

• Please arrive on time as our schedules are full each day. 20 mins or more late will likely be rescheduled.

• Clients who do not arrive for their appointment and who do not call will not be accepted in the future.

• We do not offer full de-matting or hand stripping, all matting will be clipped out.

• We do not allow owners to stay with their pets while they are groomed.

• For Everyone’s Safety Your pet will be safe at our shop as all animals are kept in clean, dry and comfortable kennels before and after bathing and grooming. Please allow us 2-3 hours to do our best work. Larger animals usually take longer.

• Some breed restrictions apply, feel free to call with questions.

• Owners of senior dogs or cats over 13 years of age. An additional fee for Senior Gentle Care of $50 may apply.

•  Last appointment for grooming ( Bath and/or Haircut ) is at 2:30PM to 3:30PM, depending on size and breed.

• Please notify us 24 hrs ( 2 pets, 48 hrs ) in advance if your plans change - thank you.

• Inclement weather - please check with us if the weather or road conditions are dangerous.

• Please leash your loved one when at the shop for their safety.

• We accept cash, check, Venmo and all major credit cards. Contactless payment available on our website listed under PAYMENT.

• Our terms and conditions do not allow for any refunds or returns for all services provided.

FELINE CLIENT

• We are not accepting new feline customer at this time.

• Cats must be in a carrier.

• We can not accomodate cats that display aggressive behavior such as bitting.

The founder of The Groomery Ltd. Belle is nationally certified groomer who has studies both nationally and internationally. She Specializes in grooming cats as well as elderly dogs and animals with special needs.

Alex N.

Alex leads the team at the Groomery Ltd that cares for all of our clients furry babies. She is responsible for ensuring that every pet that we groom and bathe at our shop is cared for and receives the best possible grooming and spa services. Alex is a huge animal lover herself, and has two special needs kitties at home. Her many years of team management and client service helps us continue to be Alexandria’s most loved and high-rated grooming salon.

Javier C.

Javier has over 15 years of grooming experience. He is nationally certified and specializes in anxious and aggressive dogs that require special care. He is patient, gentle and treats every dog with love.

Katie is one of the finest groomers you will ever work with and has over 10 years of experience and us NDGAA certified. Katie strives to make every groom a “fear-free” experience for your dog and give you the satisfaction that your baby is in good hands.

Hi, my name is Marlia. I have been grooming over 17 years. I entered this occupation because I wanted to combine my love for art and doggies! I have 5 four legged children of my own. (3 dogs, 2 cats) and I spoil my babies way too much. I also have 3 lizards, 2 turtles and 3 aquariums with multiple fish in them. I am a gentle groomer and have/will always treat your pup as if they are my own. In my free time I enjoy doing anything creative/making things unique, playing sports, fishing, working on my vehicles, modeling and hosting car shows. 3 words that best describe me are Loyal, Innovative, and passionate. I put my heart and soul into everything I do. I hope I will have the opportunity to spoil and beautify your fur babies too.

My name is Charlise, I have been grooming for about 4 years and have a pocket bully.

I have been learning and working with animals for about 5 years and continuing. My biggest interest in grooming is learning and practicing breed cuts, especially schnauzer, bichon, spaniel and feline.

My name is Alley and I've been grooming for just over 7 years. I have 4 babies of my own, 2 huskies and 2 tabby cats. I specialize in older dogs and senior comfort grooms.
